Traveling through and when I saw that they have been serving pizza since 1933, I had to stop. Started with Toasted Ravioli ... perfectly crisp and tasty! I ordered a classic sausage, pepperoni, mushroom, green pepper, and onion. The crust … More

I came here thinking it's an old establishment and would have quality Italian food. The chicken Marsala seemed to be similar to a frozen meal that was just microwaved before I got it lacking in flavor and looked like a processed chicken … More

The best Italian Beef sandwich I've ever had, hands down! Great little place right on the street. If you're within 30 miles of this absolutely delicious restaurant, I highly recommend going out of your way to stop in. More

A fantastic place to eat. The best Italian Beef sandwich I've ever had, without a doubt. Great service, friendly severs, delicious food - what more could you ask for in one place? The charm: built in 1933, still has that old style. … More

The restaurant is adorable. In a quaint building with a tin tile ceiling and an amazing fireplace, the atmosphere is fantastic. The service was great. The food was okay, but definitely not the best we've had. The pizza was probably the … More

I had such a great experience here. I sat outside on the beautiful, quiet patio and had the delicious Sicilian salad and wine. I loved the seasoned grilled chicken on top. The salad portion was big but I still could not say no to the ice … More

Old feel atmosphere. I want to say pasta dishes, could possibly be made outside of facility. I found plastic packaging in a pasta dish I had ordered.
Some of the waitresses seem dizzy, which makes service very slow.
Plann on spending at least 1.5hr when dining here.
The outside seating area is very nice

Very historic Southern Illinois Italian restaurant. Constantly a fine dining establishment over many years. Our dinners were very good. The bread sticks were not warmed as the warmer was not activated until later in the evening. My brother enjoys eating there weekly. We seldom miss an opportunity for their fine food when in the area.
Once in the 1970s, after several days of local snow accumulation, we drove there from Nashville, IL, just to get out of our houses for a few hours...
Ample off street parking at the rear of the building.

I'm not sure what happened to the food quality here at Alongi's in DuQuoin, IL Perhaps my party of three, we all ordered the wrong thing? No, that wasn't it...
It was just poor quality prep and lackluster food quality. The breadsticks were worse than OG, tough and chewy. I overheard they have a new bread supplier. Maybe they they should find a better choice or just order from Fazoli's. We spent $50+ for 3 meals.
I hope their pizza is still good...
